There are many wonderful walks in this part of the Goyt Valley. And none of them are particularly difficult. I’ve included a number of my favourites on this website.
The easiest walk is probably walk 1 – which is just over two miles long and includes a footpath designed for wheelchair users. This runs down to the River Goyt (which is very much a stream at this point). The photo above shows the lowest part of this walk.
The longest is walk 24, which is some 12 miles long and climbs up from Fernilee Reservoir to the Bronze Age fort at Castle Naze, high on Combs Moss.
