The architect’s final drawing of Errwood Hall which would have been approved by Samuel Grimshawe in around 1845. The illustration includes some wonderful detail, including two ladies being welcomed at the foot of the steps leading up the the grand country house.

This attractive painting of a young girl crossing the stepping stones with the packhorse bridge in the background featured on one of the most popular postcards of the Goyt Valley and probably dates to around 1910. The artist has taken some license with the scale of the girl – in reality she would have been far larger.
