It’s been over a year since I last posted a walk on the website. So when the clouds finally parted at the end of a fairly wet and miserable May, I thought I’d take to the hills with my camera.

The walk starts from Buxton’s famous Crescent which has just been completely refurbished after nearly 25 years lying derelict. And although it doesn’t go into the valley, it passes along its southeast edge. It’s also very easy to extend by dropping down to Errwood Reservoir from the trig point on Burbage Edge.

And as an added bonus, it also passes close to one of Joe Brown’s Numbers. Which may inspire anyone thinking of setting out on the famous mountaineer’s orienteering course.
