I started this website almost 15 years ago, and so far I’ve been able to cover the costs of hosting and maintaining it as a part-time hobby. But now I’m fully retired, it’s become more difficult to justify.
So I’ve had to look at ways of generating some income, especially as the costs are starting to mount. Which is why I’m now charging a nominal sum for the walk descriptions and GPX files.
The alternative was to abandon the website, and all the time and effort I’ve put into it over the years. I get lots of positive comments from visitors saying how much they enjoy reading the various posts. So I’m hoping I’ll be forgiven.
I’d also like to find supporters and sponsors for the site. Maybe even some advertisers. So if anyone would be interested, or knows someone who might be interested, please get in touch or leave a comment below.
